it’s that Rumble hasn’t imagined their platform to appeal to journalists like Glenn. They abandoned Locals, they take half on Rants from his live show, they never built a social element, they focused on a studio product for livestreaming, a crypto Wallet & an ads package while Substack built an ecosystem tailor made for someone like Glenn. I believe Glenn got a big pile of $$ to do System Update years ago, but not sure how much they’re still paying- if they chose to terminate that relationship, there would be little reason for him to stay there and not move to this as his hub of communication, since he can costream to Rumble or upload clips and now, finally, shorts there.
I also think he got all he could out of that show, saw what happened with Bari Weiss getting $150M for her outlet & decided to try something different. Therr are a lot of factors and i went through that 2nd.
