So We're All Just Going to Go Along, Huh?

The media is manufacturing consent, with the Party, for Kamala Harris to be one of the leading candidates for president - and nobody's going to try to stop it?

As someone who is fiercely anti-duopoly and anti-corporate-media, I am able to disconnect from the emotion of wanting someone to win and analyze the behavior from a neutral perspective. I want BOTH parties to lose, even though one will inevitably win. ALL of the federally elected officials in Congress, the President & the VP - up to and including the people running to BE President and VP - are corrupt & owned, motivated by greed & vanity - and/or complicit in not daily fighting against that system, working to improve it or expose those who won’t.

Dumb, Uninformed & Think They’re Above It All

The elected officials are all desperate to mask just how vapid, shallow - and dumb, yes, I said DUMB - they truly are about what’re REALLY happening in the world today. Even the rocket scientist. They have to be. They’re handled 24/7. They’re spoonfed bullshit propaganda by suck-up aides looking to climb the ladder that reinforces their biases. We’re led by the C students. They’re lied to by intelligence officials and believe it as the truth. They then go home and watch the media that reinforces those lies and sells corporate-driven narratives. Many are chauffeured around, never buy their own groceries, or even use social media. They act like, and are treated like, elites.

The people at the networks and on the government staffs don’t advance by being critical of the powerful. They’re enablers. You don’t see people CHALLENGING elected officials within their office. They leave for the private sector and more money. Nepotism & privilege reigns supreme. Getting in line and shutting up until you can’t take it and bail is the thing now.

The current state of the Democratic Party’s 2024 Presidential Campaign is one I am watching as a comedy of errors, while simultaneously furious at their influence over the corporate network media - who is all to happy to greedily manufacture consent for wars & profits - because, that’s of course, their real job…

Acts I & II: Rig the Primary, Then Genocide Joe Says, “Night Night, Jack!”

On July 21, the Democratic Party’s nominee, who won all the states in the “Primary” that the party “held” between February and June, tweeted a letter saying that he was no longer seeking the nomination of his party and would be the one-term President we all expected him to be. Remember: people in actual states voted for an actual name to be the Democratic nominee. That person then decided he didn’t want to run for President next term anymore. Sure, fine, whatever. That’s really insane, but that’s not what my problem here even is. The way it was done was weak & bizarre, opening questions to whether that person was even still alive to draft and publish a letter.

Why not hold a press conference?

Did the guy then really physically, conveniently, just disappear for DAYS afterwards? Yes, that really happened.

Act III: Rally ‘Round The Ol’ Veep

The media and the party have “rallied” around the current VP, now the anointed one. Not even the candidate who was quitting the race could make a physical appearance to anoint her - just a Zoom call, which he may or may not have pre-recorded. If you aren’t on board then you are definitely racist and sexist - why are you against a black woman becoming the nominee?!?! She’s “qualified!” (she’s not at all fit to lead anything, let alone the US fucking military).

Then, days later, cocktail-hype-version Biden allegedly gave a speech that many were wondering who that guy was, or how full of drugs they had to pump him to get him that peppy.

Are we all going to ignore just how embarrassing Kamala Harris has been the past 4 years, or are we going to just be “unburdened by what has been?”

And everyone is just supposed to be cool with that? There hasn’t been a convention yet, so there’s no reason they couldn’t open it up to literally ANYONE else who would poll better against their opponent.

Ok Genius - Who COULD It Have Been?

Perhaps the public would have preferred a current or former state governor who had actual executive experience. None of the potentials are desirable, none have nearly the name recognition Trump has - but competence isn’t a qualification here in the world of the people choosing the Democratic Party anointed one.

All the party deciders really demanded & required, apparently, are a name people know & a set of talking points that are big enough to take on Trump. They’ll get the media to manufacture the rest, voter shaming the public & using identity politics to do it.

NONE of the potentials spoke out, they all just shut up and folded behind a person who has never won a thing as a presidential candidate?

Because the party said so?

Because they’ll get hammered and lose their place in line if they speak out?

Because none of them wanted to potentially, and inevitably, be smeared as a racist or sexist?

Because nobody wants to ask the obvious question - who thinks they actually stand a chance with her as their nominee - and why don’t they want to win, since the actual answer is nobody? (hint: it’s to fundraise endlessly while lobbing shit from the sidelines for the next 4 years - without being responsible for, you know, governing.)

Not ONE ex-or current Democratic Governor said a word?

There Are No More Watchdogs - Only Lapdogs

The networks are lapdogs for access to candidates, desperate to one-up the other networks on an interview, so they’re propaganda dumps who believe everything they’re told & then help the officials spin their narrative garbage to obfuscate the truth. They’re worse than useless to the people - they harmfully and willfully misinform them on behalf of advertisers & influencers.

That’s completely normal and just happens all the time in an opportunistic country and party, right? Exactly. It never happens.

There really are not many, and certainly not enough, left to actually ask the hard questions from a NON-partisan perspective. Everything today is intentionally lost in a bipartisan sauce of accusing those with legitimate challenges of being in bad faith (as if that matters) - ESPECIALLY if the question doesn’t have simple remedies or responses.
