Great clip. I think Matt's approach, to frame the debate around the necessity of having a platform that honors the First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and expression, is the winning one.
I also take heart that one of the Substack owners is named Hamish MacKenzie. Scottish and/or Irish. Scots and Irish are some of the most wonderfully stubborn people on the planet, and when they get their hackles up about some right of theirs being infringed, there's no one more determined.
I ought to know. I'm about two-thirds Scottish and Irish my own self. Throw in a good dose of Welsh, and it is not at all surprising I am a First Amendment absolutist, and think it should be applied to anything being used as a public square, ownership be damned.
