There is a good chance he wrote the piece because he found out about what was happening at the UAW from his managing editor (who refused to disclose if she spoke with Ryan, or if her husband did). That person had a total interest in smearing the Federal Monitor, who was doing his job. Ryan never disclosed the relationship, which is slimy AF
