Interestingly, 95% of all of the media articles I’ve found, save for one from Common Dreams about the CODE PINK demonstration with Save The Children, is focused on the shaking of the fence at the White House last night and framing the whole day as “violent” - WHICH IT WAS NOT. Just search Twitter for the phrases “dc palestine protest” or “White House protest” and it’s amazing the one-sided bias presented. Also, ZERO arrests. How is that possible?
What no large media outlet seems to be reporting on are the MASSIVE peaceful protests in Washington, DC (and worldwide) during the day in support of the Palestinian people and demanding an immediate Ceasefire by Israel on Gaza.
I saw tweets from Max Blumenthal &
, CODE PINK put on a big demonstration with Save the Children, Breakthrough News and Rania Khalek were on the scene. Coverage is so poor, here are a few tweets as a sample of what actually happened.Jonas Fornaro attended, this Thread on Twitter has video from his perspective of the daytime protest march, which some reported had 350,000-400,000 people.
Proud to see
honoree in attendance! Here’s Max Blumenthal from The Grayzone hanging out with Propaganda & Co.
Details about the evening protest at the White House
Did you attend? Did you see coverage of the protests in your news feed? Were they positive or negative?

Hi, Everyone - Indie here. Just a reminder, I am dedicated to amplifying the independent media that gets the stories correct, usually correcting lies told by the US, UK and their allies.
I’ve been aggregating articles, videos and podcasts, sharing links and even created an award to recognize the best of the best. How Did We Miss That is a show & podcast we’ve done for the past 2+ years exclusively featuring independent journalists.
In the past, I’ve sent out “What Are We Reading” articles occasionally - including a whole lot of links to articles - but the statistics say it’s too much, most don’t click on more than one. So, I’m trying something new.
This new experiment of a format will share 3 types of media in a post - an article (read), a podcast (listen), and a video (watch) - but only 1 or 2 per category… at least, that’s the intent - to make everything easier to consume.

I prefer this "beta" format, Indie. Reason? It allows me to readily view, read or hear the content media that I am able to access at that moment without scrolling through a stream of content. For example, if I am doing dishes then I want audio or video and not written.
I like the variety available in this format. Hopefully, you'll get a lot more feedback than just mine.
